You’ve made some mistakes in life

Among them having become the wife

Of a dude who has a real hard time

With TV ratings that are not prime.

But doing this you are being a star

With ratings more important by far.

Perhaps the most important thing

Is that it’s blind to subject and king.

We’re all in this one, all together –

Truly birds of the same feather.

I’m hopeful that when we emerge

Compassion will see a lasting surge.

With all the news about bad times,

People struggling for nickels and dimes,

Here’s a business seeing high growth!

With immediate impact and profits both.

While the cost of entry is fairly low

Like many things, it’s who you know…

Back in the days of Bubonic Plague

This German town was not a bit vague…

They promised God if He saved the day

Then every ten years they’d put on a play.

And so it has gone with scant interruption…

But for this new pandemic causing disruption.

After banging pots and making song

Fighting the virus for awfully long

Italy now has some welcome news

A reversal in the lives they lose

To covid-19 and its economic hit.

Stay strong now, it’s no time to quit!

It all comes down to the Golden Rule

Which basically says: “Don’t be a tool.”

So if you position yourself as a man of God

It seems an awful lot more than a bit odd

That you’d willfully put your flock in danger,

As if Satan tapped you to be his ranger…

At first it served as a sign of hope

But now it makes us look like a dope.

A thousand beds are going to waste

While our hospitals are being outpaced

By the growing number of urgently sick

Expanding with every tick tick tick…

Seems a little harsh to me…

There you are, stuck at sea

A thousand men on a ship

And a virus joining for the trip.

This ain’t a guy inclined to yelp

But was fired for saying “A little help?”

As social distancing becomes the norm

While we battle this huge sh!t storm

We’ve set a new communication goal

And video conferencing is how we roll.
