I don’t like sweetbread either

I thought the joy was that we’re not the same

It’s our differences that make the human game.

Which means we’re allowed to like foods – or not!

And if we don’t like them, we shouldn’t be shot.

I’ve been to China and won’t make you guess,

In my opinion, the food there’s a mess…!

Plastic Surgery

Almost every day I walk on the beach

Through all the seasons and in each

I go with my dogs and bring a bag too,

To pick up the massive new plastic stew

That washes ashore every single day…

We need operations like this without delay.

Corrosion continues

Sad to say no there are no surprises here,

No new information to make us cheer.

Instead it confirms a horrible trend

Which is most Trump supporters will not bend.

And at his rallies he gives them a hummer:

“I’ll be back in office by mid-summer!”

Go Figure

Some states decided to cut themselves loose

From Fed money that then became a noose

Strangling incentive to be productive…

So yes those moves were very constructive.

I know I risk being considered a jerk,

But it’s time for people to get back to work!

The Walking Read

Zombie research?! Is this for real?

I mean, I do understand its appeal

But does it need study of this kind?

Oh, woops, okay never mind…

Turns out it’s when a paper goes awry

But then references to it just never die.

It’s Out There

The long awaited report is finally here

And sci-fi fans have a lot to cheer!

The DoD says stuff can’t be explained

The potential of aliens ain’t so harebrained.

With the great expanse of all that space

Seems likely there’s life in another place.

I hope so!

Record droughts and heat like Hell

If we don’t do something it won’t end well.

Energy, politics and finance must

Figure out ways to adjust

And be creative with business and tech

Before the climate becomes a train wreck.

C’mon now…

It’s starting to happen and is a bit scary

And makes hardworking people kinda wary.

No doubt some folks still need the aid

But it also feels like we’re being played.

You’re safe at work with the vaccine!

While employers are desperate, running lean.

Because it’s there?

What is it that drives some people to this?

Death defying feats high above the abyss.

Are there demons shouting at them to go?

Or do they simply need to put on a show?

Whatever the case this feat is legit!

I’m glad that they pushed it and never quit.

The Longest Day

The solstice occurred late on Father’s Day

A lovely gift for all dads going gray.

The first full day of the summer season

Is certainly one that’s awfully pleasin’.

The only sad part, I have to observe

Is now days grow shorter we’re past the curve.
