True Patriot

Remember when it comes to the scales of justice

You want more than politicians saying “trust us.”

Balance is what makes that mechanism function,

Just as compromise is a democracy’s junction.

The Chief Justice knows that imbalances threaten,

And is preventing an ideological extreme to set in.

Safety First

It’s hard to imagine it being the case

That this thoughtful couple would not embrace

The human desire to help others in need

Giving comfort and caring at lightening speed.

Never mind the guns! Ha ha they’re fine…

Some protection before posting a BLM sign.

Two Faced

Kelly Anne makes headlines all of the time

Most often by hurling some political slime.

She blows with the wind for personal gain

And frequently sounds completely insane.

It’s certainly true she’s all over the place

And now even has an alternative face.

Ups and Downs

The elevator environment is quite complex

With its own cultural code in many respects.

There are things you do and things you do not

Passing wind, for example, is frowned on a lot.

New rules are coming, that much is for sure.

Just one more adjustment we’ll have to endure.

Unchained Melody

The beats have traveled for billions of years

Through untold galaxies and alien beers.

Grateful Dead

The Stable Genius leading our nation

Has to deal with tons of frustration.

If only he were allowed to do his job now

As a real estate magnate empowered somehow

To crack bureaucracy with the Art of the Deal

He’d make many more corpses feel his appeal.

Math’s Tyranny

Algorithms have always annoyed me.

So I avoid them, and they avoid me.

My issues date back to high school math

While trying to solve for calculite wrath.

I can’t fathom the horror of being abused

By an algorithm that has falsely accused.

Border Wall

An interesting twist on border restriction…

Hard to imagine ever making the prediction

That while Donnie works to keep people out

Our friends in Europe are now talking about

Banning Americans at least through the fall.

So he succeeded in building at least one wall.

Trying what?

Perhaps Tulsa was not very well-planned

And has put some tarnish on his brand.

We know that the dude is highly intent

On making sure his team will never dissent.

He thought the rally would make him a bruiser,

But now Donnie looks just a lot like a loser.

The arena is empty

No one is perfect, that is simply a fact.

But many led lives that were fully packed

With virtuous deeds and good will intended

Though checkered by faults, some not mended.

TR preserved nature more than most know.

I hope his contributions are preserved also.
