Throughout our history we’ve seen the same cues:

America fails and then it renews.

I would argue that the quick rise of Trump

Was that Liberals had dropped a stinky dump.

But he’s a disgrace, destruction’s abettor.

Let’s not lose faith that things will get better.

The last time a government used a poll

Asking its people to review a scroll

Of possible names for a brand new boat

Then put all the best options to a vote

It left them in a kinda awkward place…

The name chosen was Boaty McBoatface!

Guns don’t kill people, people kill people…

But if you put guns under a steeple

And worship them as if a religion

You’d have to believe, if just a smidgen,

Zealots will think shooting folks is okay.

It’s what guns are designed for, anyway!

So let’s pause for a moment to take stock

And consider the latest of Trump’s schlock.

Of course he doesn’t, but pretend it’s true

That he’s got a plan, and it’s not voodoo.

Well don’t help stop all the killing right now!

No, milk it out as a campaign cash cow.

The world needs oil, it can’t go away

But pressure is mounting every day

For the big giants who own all the wells

To sell some off so that it dispels

The image that they’re harming the planet…

But a well was safer when they ran it.

Unsung heroes who work behind the scenes

Are often the fuel powering machines

That change the course of human history

Yet their involvement remains a mystery.

Sign up to give unlimited ration
But at least it helps to fight inflation.

“W” launched a controversial war

No weapons were found in Saddam’s sock drawer!

But he also launched the program PEPFAR

Which by any account is a shining star.

He fought AIDS head on and gets no high fives…

But saved 25 million peoples’ lives.
