There’s much to consider as the year ends

Whether with old acquaintances or new friends…

A year so many dumb things came to pass

It’s sure hard to name the biggest jackass.

Next year will surely be hard on our nerves

Thank God we have huge tequila reserves.

We say goodbye to a truly good man.

His years as President did not go to plan

But the things he did after – and before –

Made life better for millions, if not more.

His greatest achievements are hard to select…

But even drew kind words from the President-Elect.

You don’t really want to feel like you’re hiding

But since all “news” sources are so deriding

And patently false, I don’t see the point

Of letting it knock your nose out of joint.

Choose what matters to you, then help that cause…

And do it for honor, not for applause.

The obsession with data is immense

Measuring everything, it gets intense.

I’ve never really warmed up to the trend

Seems like added stress with a small dividend.

Until now, that is, with this sexy news!

Data’s debut as a lover’s muse…

You get dependent and simply can’t quit

It felt so good when you first took a hit.

But now it’s destructive, no end in sight.

Resulting in health and financial blight.

No politicians feel they can go rogue

So it’s up to Elon, Vivek and DOGE!

What often is lost in religious debate

Is that Jews and Christians share the same great

God in Heaven, but how they disagree

Is whether Jesus is also the deity.

So it’s nice when holidays overlap

And we’re able to shorten this Godly gap.

Faith means different things to different people

And is not only found under a steeple.

Can it be helpful? What’s the end game?

Does it make life better, or more of the same?

It’s been live-saving for many, who knows why…

So if you have holes in your life, give it a try?
