If you want democracy to succeed

There are two key inputs that you will need.

Education is one, that is for sure.

And, I believe, a military tour.

Not just “service” very broadly defined…

National Boot Camp to keep us aligned.

 So the funny thing about this hot guest

Isn’t so much about how hot she dressed

Or that she flaunted her hot bod around

Or that her hot aura was too profound…

She files these lawsuits, dozens no less

And basically is just a big hot mess.

So what question could you possibly pose

To Dear Abby when everyone knows

It’s perfectly normal, this behavior…

Your own little place, sure what a savior!

That marriage is healthy, no need to fear.

You’re good for the long haul, that much is clear.

Hearing this you may be tempted to think

Nothing new here! They’re always on the brink

Of checking out and not being present,

Pretty much an emotional peasant!

But this is purely a workforce arrangement…

Which may also lead to some estrangement.

Scientists have a way to explain it

And the stingray sure hopes they campaign it.

Otherwise she’s got some explaining to do!

It’s hard to get pregnant if you don’t screw.

The other potential, if just a smidgen –

Perhaps it’s the start of a new religion…

America’s evil and it should DIE!

But maybe four years from now, and here’s why…

See first I need help paying off my loans

Or else I’ll never keep up with the Jones.

It’s not like I chose to go to this school!

So pay up, then die, yeah that would be cool.

When I think back on all of my teachers

And contemplate their good and bad features

I’m having some trouble seeing the fun

In letting these people carry a gun…

Oh gee Miss Nagle what’s that on your hip?

A nickel plate Glock and an extra clip…?

It’s hard to determine what is the worst…

Because it sure feels like the world’s been cursed.

First we have dentists who’re going viral,

Which by itself means we’re in a bad spiral.

And then the message is no need to brush?!

Next plumbers will tell us don’t bother to flush.

I mean, when you write a poem every day

Sometimes you’re not fully sure what to say.

So though I wrote about this thing before

I decided that I’d come back for more.

Taylor versus Kim? You must be joking!

Kim is a fake while Taylor is smoking.

So sure it took much longer than needed

But in the end democracy succeeded.

Well done Mike Johnson for doing what’s right

And to Joe Biden too, who won the fight.

That’s America at its very best…
