It can be no surprise that we’re rising

Since Donnie was all about despising.

Shattering alliances that we need

Mostly driven by his personal greed.

And they’re right about their call for concern

Our political health’s in a bad turn.

Despite attempts to discredit their work

The FBI just scored a massive win

Hunting down bad guys and luring them in

To a messaging platform, thought secure

And now they’re all off to prison for sure.

Well you know the place is kind of a mess

And how it survives is anyone’s guess.

But dang if they don’t deliver the goods

With freakshows emerging from the woods

And providing the world a steady stream

Of rich entertainment in a sunbeam.

This dude Manchin is old school as can be

A bare-knuckled pol who keeps his mind free.

Like it or not from the left perspective

This type of move is a core directive.

If we hope to see our great nation thrive

Breaking party lines is part of the drive.

Sure it was nice for the teacher to do.
A true act of kindness… or maybe two.
But this is not a tale of poverty’s shame.
Or of wokely finding something to blame.
No, this young man put himself in that fix
Instead of shoes he was wearing fancy kicks…

Mike sure knows that he walks a tightrope line

To be honest and yet not give a sign

Unreliable leader for us all

Right down to inciting the Capitol brawl.

If you happen to have gone through this mess

You already know that there’s little finesse

To this terrible process that steals the soul

Of bright young kids who were on a roll.

It seems to me it’s already random!

Did someone miss that memorandum?

I wonder if the intention was good
Or if it’s simply a business that would
Prey on our fears and fan the flame
Of our cultural habit to lay blame
And point our fingers at other places
Than look in the mirror at our faces.

Why would this issue bring some unity

To the polarized political community?

Is it curiosity for the vast unknown?

Or ET nostalgia to perhaps “phone home…”

Whatever the drive this much is for sure –

In DC today it will not endure.

Many still love the line “Drill Baby Drill!”

For all those who want their fossil fuels

To be cheap like water and fine as jewels.

For sure we still need this energy source
