No room for error

Today is the shortest day of the year

And is certainly one that I hold dear.

From this point on things start to get brighter

As the days become lighter and lighter.

Meanwhile now we must be on our game!

The day is short, but the workload the same.

Build Back Later

If he’s really looking for someone to blame

Biden needs only to play the mirror game.

He was elected because he’s not Trump

And because Sanders is kind of a chump.

People just wanted the chaos to end

Not build the government to spend spend spend.

This is serious

When you think about those funny places

Where people always have smiley faces

And laugh and laugh to their heart’s content

Knowing that all their time is well spent

North Korea leaps both front and center…!

Except when they mourn their leader’s mentor.

Our lives now

I have to believe for the next ten years

We’re just not going to be changing gears.

Covid and variants are here to stay

And we’ll have to adapt for work and play.

We simply cannot hit “cancel” each time

The number of cases goes on a climb.

For now…

I still don’t know how these guys sleep at night

Or how they slither their way out of sight

When they change position time and again

With no consequence for what they said “then.”

Mitch loudly decried the Jan 6 commission

So I bet he knows they’ve found some munition.

Kiteships

This concept has long been batting around

But never was able to gain much ground.

Early tests showed that they worked pretty well

But only when weather was really swell.

That’s not so often across the great seas

But it sure would be great to harness the breeze.

Silence is Deafening

When good people do nothing, evil thrives

And those they enable sharpen their knives.

Perhaps it’s a stretch to call these folks “good,”

Certainly now as we see where they stood,

And know that they feared for our Republic

But wouldn’t admit it out in public.

Why call Mark…?!

For at least a moment he saw the light

And knew very well that this was not right.

But Junior showed what his real colors are…

It’s yellow that shines the brightest by far.

He wouldn’t call his dad, not with this advice.

Nope, the cost of truth was too high a price.

Democracy Demolished

I do fear things are gonna get much worse

While Donnie and team set up a curse

That casts a spell on too many people

And forces truth to march up a steep hill.

Did the dems cause it with a plan from their shelf?

Or is this self-serving freak just out for himself?

Not so Foxy

Hard to imagine it’s out of the blue

For a veteran like Chris to say “Me too!”

And jump from the network of the far right

Just as other reporters have seen the light.

But if he’s opposed to these biased views

Then I’m afraid he’s in for some bad news.
