So the GOP has a new leader!

Or is he another bottom feeder?

Not so much showing everyone the way

But lurking in the depths, he’ll have no say.

Any GOP Speaker of the House

Will be hostage to the roar of the mouse.

The results are stunning and really cool

Improving results across the whole pool

Regardless of race, their color or class

The kids in these schools are kicking some ass.

We’d do well to study what makes it true

And it’s not just money, tho that helps too.

I don’t think “cakewalk” is really the term

But watching Republicans makes me squirm.

Their crazy circus will surely be felt

As Congress is put in a chastity belt.

As if there’s nothing that could use our aid

Going on in the world to make us afraid…

So much is unknown, that will always remain.
For those with OCD, that is a pain.
But trying to prove things beyond a doubt
Is just hard to do, so what it’s about
Is accepting we’re still learning a lot
And conclusions may change, or they may not.

The thinking goes a little bit like this…

The world’s heating up, a fact we can’t miss,

Which makes polar ice caps just disappear

And has a consequence a little queer.

They no longer reflect the sun’s hot rays

So the world may get colder in future days!

So… where are the calls that we’re the Stasi?

Thoughtless and cruel, kind of fascist quasi…

The same policies used by the other side

Are now ok, because they’re better applied?

What would make this perfect, totally fab

Is if Mexico did pick up the tab!

And this comes after August and July

When we also set a record heat high.

To many the question remains “So what?”

They think a scientist is just a wing nut…

So how do we translate jargon and alarm

To help people realize the potential harm?

Sure, there’s plenty of blame to go around

But at its core we’ve lost all moral ground.

Do you truly believe this gang of eight

Is so deeply concerned about our fate…

About national interests and global needs?

Or is it more about their Twitter feeds?

For a moment it seemed all could be good

And the impact of all the crazies would

Allow the centrists on both sides of the aisle

To strike a deal with bipartisan style.

Some concessions to Dems for a few votes

Could have been the best of the antidotes.

Looks like I was born a few years too soon

‘Cuz I sure would have loved this workplace boon!

Finally a role for AI that I love

I’d slip into that like a hand in a glove.

But there must be a catch, how could it be?

Is it just artificial reality?
