I’m sorry to see Chris Christie drop out

Because I sorta liked what he’s about,

Sticking with conservative policy

But without tearing down democracy.

Yet his fate is the same as all the rest

Since the GOP thinks Trump is the best.

The thing that just seems so very insane

Is that all of this simply helps him gain

More and more loyalty from all his troops

So the lower and lower that he stoops

The stronger his fan base in MAGA land…

So he’s right – there’ll be bedlam if he’s banned.

Like any hero who has some powers

The strength of QAnon Shaman sours

When kept away from the important things

That give him meaning, when his soul sings…

It’s like making him wear a crown of thorns

To withhold his battle helmet and horns.

Of course it’s hard to raise money these days

Is to go long on being divided

And just double down on all MAGA lies

But let’s admit that it’s pretty funny

Who shouted out the plagiarism claim,

To discover his wife has done the same!

The Dems have now shot themselves in the foot.

Any chance for a new guy is caput.

But one thing I think they surely could do

Is replace the VP with someone new.

At least then the public would feel more at ease

Should Biden keel over and fall to his knees.

It’s not clear to me how this has become

A political issue, seems kinda dumb.

I don’t think she was brought down by a mob

Rather how did she ever get this job?!
