Growing up in New York, I’d see him in town

The things he’d say made him seem like a clown.

Usually funny when not mean in spirit

He always self-inflated his merit.

It’s a tough town where it’s hard to make it…

And everyone knew he had to fake it.

Amidst all the health crises that we’ve had

I hadn’t given much thought to how bad

Certain diseases were still on the go

Especially those, that, well, you know…

Require a bit of getting around!

How does that happen during lockdown?!

People do things for the strangest reasons

Especially in college football seasons.

But this one is really kind of bizarre

Given what this guy’s daily tasks are…

We have to hope it was not appetite

That made this vegan champ take such a bite.

The premise proposed is that it’s not fair

That boys and girls are not allowed to share

The same playing fields and access to sports

Resulting in problems of countless sorts…!

In fact if this thought was put in effect

Sports for women would be totally wrecked.

Well at least they all are being sincere

And tell us upfront they will not adhere

To democracy and the rule of law

Because, you know, if you make a loud squaw

Chances are good you can convince enough

Folks to believe that you’re both right and tough.

When relationships rest on dependence

It’s important that those in attendance

Hold up their end of whatever’s the deal.

Not doing so is like being an eel.

Especially when it comes to a hound!

Here the roommate should be sent to the pound.

Just as we start to head towards recession

We get bad news of further oppression.

When times get tough we all need an escape

And sometimes that’s found in the wheat or grape.

If our beer supply starts getting too strained

I’m not sure how order will be maintained!

I’ve said it before and it’s here again…

I believe that the motives of the men

Making these plans are highly suspect

But distributing migrants? That’s correct.

Political theatre plays a big role

And the nastiness does harm to the soul.

There are many lessons coming from this
And at least two that you shouldn’t miss…
First, really good news is under-reported,
Making our world seem grossly distorted.
Second, the bill that made this come to pass
Came from compromise, not being an ass.

It’s a quest that so many undertake

Never to be the feature of a wake…

But life ever after could be a drag

Unless you are youthful (and can still shag)!

And it definitely wouldn’t be much fun

If you were a jellyfish for the long run.
