Rarely do I hope that Mitch has it right

But man in this case I sure hope he might.

How great it would be to finally see

The debates can’t be just an empty mess

Where everyone appears to acquiesce.

Larry Hogan was the pride of the state

With a 75% approval rate!

The red and the blue both loved him a lot

So how in heck did they get what they got?

GOP voters ignored his smart voice

And went with the loony QAnon choice…

We all know that he’s the true Teflon Don

Nothing sticks to him, no matter his con.

Some believe his first presidential run

Was only to escape some gangster’s gun.

His business practice and legal affairs

Have only put him back in the crosshairs.

At business school and throughout my career

All the pundits and finance guys would make clear

That growth is what the future’s about

But can we say that without a doubt?

Perhaps “sustainable” is more to the point

Or is this old dude just smoking a joint?

With mercury rising around the globe

Everyone everywhere begins to probe

The science behind the dior forecasts

And whether or not this bad heat wave lasts.

Even cold countries get in on the act

I’m friends with many who support this chump,

The guy who goes by the name, Donald Trump.

They’re smart and nice and I don’t understan’

How they let themselves get fooled by this man.

They think he agrees with what they condemn

But “Useful Idiots” is what he calls them!
