There is little doubt that having debt sucks

Especially when it’s a lot of bucks.

But I’m not a fan of forgiving it,

Enter a contract and you’re living it.

Understand what and why when you borrow

Debt should give you a better tomorrow.

I have to admit to loving the thought

That a real hot mess could maybe get caught

Seeing the bright side of his or her scene

And thinking that maybe life has some sheen.

But positive thinking is not the part

That most of these folks seem to take to heart.

There’s a long road ahead before it’s done

But these steps must be taken one by one.

In addition to ratcheting down the hype

They have to avoid the partisan swipe.

Reports with integrity will get the views

And help people trust where they get their news.

When it comes to getting into the sun

I had thought that the glory days were done.

Skin cancer and damage were on the mind

And don’t forget it can make you go blind.

But hearing this news sounds pretty darn good!

So go out in the sun? Why yes, you should!

Maybe ‘cuz I grew up in the city

I’d rather write something a bit witty

About wild animals in the range

Than go up to them and try to exchange

Pleasantries and some nice greetings fulfilled

Since it seems doing so can get you killed.

Memorial Day is a time to thank

It all went down on a flight on Southwest

The discount airline that’s known for the best

Airfare you can find to get where you want.

No frills or fanfare on this little jaunt.

Maybe you shouldn’t get punched in the eyes,

But it never promoted “friendly skies…”

Forest management must be very tough

And I have no clue what it takes to snuff

Out a fire burning hard in the woods

But it seems this crew didn’t bring the goods.

Their miss on this one is tragic and sad

Mismanagement, or just luck that was bad?

I’ve thought for some time this would be the case

For the next decade we should simply brace

And prepare for the fact that it’s with us.

So we should get on board this high speed bus

And learn to deal with a new fact of life.

Evolve or die, that’s the edge of the knife.

So billions of dollars have been spent

And buyers now wonder where it all went.

Who would have thought buying digital art

Just may not have been really all that smart?

Maybe the same folks who also believe

Buying digital land is quite naïve.
