Our vacation from history has now passed

And these times of peace will no longer last.

Like it or not, the only solution

Is global engagement, not dissolution.

It’s like he’s saying “Everyone calm down,

I’m not the most dangerous thug in town.”

Yes, he’s invaded a peaceful neighbor

And is far from finished with his labor,

Now filling the world with nuclear fears.

But just take it easy! Let’s grab some beers…

Returning to its senses, that’s so nice…

But boy we have paid an awfully big price.

In the idiocy of politics

It appears that both parties get their kicks

Not with policy that thinks short and long,

But saying the other party is wrong.

The West has no choice with these new measures

And must hit hard at all Russian treasures.

But make no mistake about the impact…

Global finance will change, that is a fact.

As nations see all the power this wields

They’ll keep assets out of these battlefields.

Nothing compares to a ground force attack,
But if there’s a place that you want to sack
The tools of war have greatly expanded,
Including tracking where PJs landed.
The horrors remain, that is without doubt,
Though these fronts now change what war is about.

For sure it seems odd, this after school club
But the law is the law, so you can’t snub
Any religious group from taking part
In school activities… not so smart?
With kids these days we must ask the question:
Who’s teaching whom in this devil session?

The pseudo militia and camo gear

That some protesters like to display here

Ring hollow and fake whenever they’re seen

And generally show folks who want to preen.

In Ukraine real heroes are headed East

To take up arms against the Russian Beast.

The Battle for Kyiv is howling now,

And its defense is bolstered by this vow.

Zelensky is showing what leaders do

To motivate people and help them through

The most tragic events they’ll ever know

Fighting the Russians, and impending woe.

Gaslighting good folks for personal gain,

It’s truly destructive, this mad campaign.

Based on the notion there was voter fraud –

Which is a notion that is deeply flawed –

It apologizes for sedition

Then it goes full crazy in addition…

It is their job to defend their nation

But even still, at the battle station

It’s so inspiring to see them fight

With no potential for winning in sight.

These soldiers died while keeping their word

And should be honored for flipping the bird.
