I grew up in a big liberal city

At a time when things were pretty gritty.

Guns seemed to cause more problems than answers

But I still get why they have advancers.

This, however, is beyond all reason…

As we bury more kids this shooting season.

I met Bob Dole at a convention

He was a straight shooter, no pretension.

A wounded warrior, battle hardened

His gruff demeanor easily pardoned.

He was conservative with a big heart.

We sure need more people to play that part.

The “D-Trip” is meant to elect new Dems

But right now is only giving some gems

To any person who uses her brain

And sees the absurdity of this chain…

Does anyone think that this gas price might

Solve the problems that keep us up at night?

It just goes to show what I’ve always thought…

That these cats today are easily bought.

I’ve never trusted those aloof felines

With their careful steps and sun-filled reclines.

Turns out they peddle misinformation!

Purring away as they take down the nation.

Sure I get it about brotherly love
But good Lord help us from up above!
These folks could not be any more detached
With entitlement and hubris nearly unmatched.
Use government… Use media… That’s just fine!
“Why not use it all to take what’s not mine?!”

I cringe when I read items on the Left

That bend to break under bias’s heft.

No doubt there was need for other voices

To give all people much needed choices.

Too bad that mission never saw the light…

As Fox and its ilk just shill for the Right.

It has always been curious to me

That the outcome of crime could possibly be

Categorized in this way or that

As if there’s some sort of caveat

That can make murder seem better or worse…

Kinda so what? There’s a man in a hearse!

The world most certainly feels upside down

When the Right decides to go to town

Expanding benefits for folks who don’t work

Because they may have just a little quirk

And refuse the vax right there on the spot

Giving up good health and causing more rot.

Finding your partner is not formulaic

It can be through tech, or more archaic.

I believe that luck also plays a hand

In leading you to someone’s wedding band.

Sadly fifty percent still end in divorce…

With odds like that, just hit the golf course.

My father would frequently scratch his head,

“There’re good problems and bad problems,” he said.

I’ve got a good feel for where this one belongs…

And I do not hear any violin songs.

It’s so hard the rich must deal with these issues!

I’m crying my way through a box of tissues.
