Perhaps there’s no way to get around cheating
And listening to both the rich and poor’s bleating.
But it does seem to me things are unfair
And taxing the rich does not make it square.
Why shouldn’t we all pay the same tax rate,
A flat tax with no holes for a rebate?

I believe in the value of fair trade

And doing what you want with money made.

Giving thanks is a part of the puzzle

And helps to avoid any kerfussle.

It will attract great workers to you again.

The evil of Facebook gives no relief,

It’s about appearances not belief.

From people posting about their swell life

Causing FOMO and emotional strife

To its execs who care much more about

Seeming moral but not acting it out.

Think back… “There are good people on both sides.”

Words from a President will serve as guides.

And once reinforced by the self-serving press,

Well, it’s no wonder that things are a mess.

This congressman, who’s not far to the Left,

Gets vitriol and threats of massive heft.

“Unreal” is exactly the word for it!

There’s a fact out there, you can’t ignore it…

These guys are CHEATERS and caught redhanded

Even they themselves are pretty candid.

Yet they play on with no conequences.

It truly defies all moral senses.

It’s hard to listen to crazy shrieking,

Or any nutcase when one is speaking,

Espousing views contrary to your own

So I get why the far right will just groan

About global warming and its mention.

But on THIS topic they’ll pay attention…

We know it’s not true that crime doesn’t pay

So it’s kind of fun to have a good day

When the bad guys are caught, doing their thing

And their own stupidity causes the sting.

This big bad thug snatched a reporter’s cell

That was live broadcasting – it didn’t end well!

So TheFacebook plans to rebrand again

As if that will then make it much more Zen.

But the problems it causes will not end

It will still spread lies and try to offend.

No matter what flies as its new banner

It will still suck in much the same manner.

The stress of the job must be absolute

Like pediatricians too, it’s acute.

I’ve seen the pain in some owners’ wet eyes

Choosing what bills to pay, they agonize…

Can they afford pet treatment that’s needed?

Vets suffer too seeing needs unheeded.

A rare man of humility and might

Who transcended party to do what’s right.

He got kind of screwed when working for Bush

And was given a story he had to push

But history should be kind to this great man

Who loved our country as much as one can.
