Why

If you don’t bother to take the time,
To express your thoughts in rhyme,
The chances are awfully good,
You’ve not thought as much as you should.
Rhymes are fun and set the stage right,
Like lovers undressing before a fight…

It’s a spade

When Donnie rolled out this vindictive plan

He claimed it was because illegals can

Get a license in New York without proper ID

When really the reason was plain to see…

The state trends left and he’ll never win it.

Petty retaliation, no matter how you spin it.

Central Nervous System

Tension between the States and the Fed

Have often resulted in lots of blood shed.

So now Donnie is taking to his bully pulpit

To claim violence in cities are the culprit,

And that the Feds must bring law and civility…

Yet with Covid 19? He has “no responsibility.”

Sartorial Saviors

When a pandemic strikes and people balk

At keeping their distance, say while on a walk

Some folks get mad and vent their fury

Passing judgment on others without a jury.

But some helpful souls take a different tack –

A dash of whimsy to claim their lives back!

Right Turn

It’s not such a surprise coming from Kasich

But it’s good to see that some may switch

And vote for the person they feel is best

Without having to pass a party-line test.

The two-party system is not meant

To kill the potential for thoughtful dissent.

Race to the bottom

Who would have thought such a class act

Would stoop to this shortly after the fact

That his sentence was commuted for no reason

Other than the President covering up treason

And protecting his cronies after breaking the law.

Entitlement’s disdain is such a character flaw.

Oh Joe…

It’s an interesting dilemma, that’s for sure.

Donnie is a guy who takes lying on tour.

Joe for his part can’t keep the facts straight.

So in both situations the truth will stagnate.

But what do we want in the leader of our nation?

Some honest mistakes or manipulation?

Like Magic

Sometimes magic does its part

But hard to say it’s very smart

To count on it as the primary plan

To protect against the growing span

Of a pandemic that could be stopped

If leadership hadn’t fully flopped.

Tik Tok’s Revenge

For all we know they could be right

And Tik Tok is a tool that just might

Be used by the Chinese to peer inside

American minds on a creative ride.

If Donnie bans it one thing’s certain –

His numbers will further drop like a curtain.

Like Brexit and 2016…?

Does anyone actually pay attention to polls?

With all of the posing and use of trolls?

You’d think we’d have learned this lesson before –

Folks may not be truthful with a guy at the door.

I hope Joe and his crew take no comfort in this

Or else I suspect they will have a big miss.

Order in the Court

You don’t have to agree with every ruling

To still see how the Supreme Court is schooling

The other two branches that govern our nation

In how to operate without partisan fixation.

Their opinions are influenced by their alliance

But with no voters to woo they can show defiance.
