Why

If you don’t bother to take the time,
To express your thoughts in rhyme,
The chances are awfully good,
You’ve not thought as much as you should.
Rhymes are fun and set the stage right,
Like lovers undressing before a fight…

Try Locally

I’m all about the extraordinary search

To find new worlds on which to perch.

But it’s important not to set sights too high

And I might suggest that we at least try

To find intelligence on our own planet first

And replace the leaders with whom we’re cursed.

Do your job

According to Senator Rand Paul

Dr. Fauci claims to be “the end all.”

In fact he’s a scientist doing his work

Not a failed senator just being a jerk.

He and economists must both give their view

So that leaders can then decide what to do.

C’mon…

Have a look at how this went down

And it will leave you with a frown.

The question she asks has no point

Designed to put his nose out of joint.

The answer he gave is his stock in trade

Not targeting the reporter in a racist tirade.

Scheisse…

The Germans are known for their precision

And recently made an important decision.

They began to “open” – albeit measured –

Since getting it right is always treasured.

But looks like they may have done it too soon…

The numbers are rising like a zombie goon.

Praying Mantis 2020

The world can seem awfully complicated

With so many solutions feeling outdated.

But the praying mantis keeps things simple.

Popping heads like you pop a pimple…

What’s this? A killer bee in my space?

No problem at all, I’ll eat out its face.

Vaccines are for sissies

Well isn’t this a bit of a pickle?

Fauci again acting ever so fickle…

Donnie is right, not that drama queen.

The Spanish Flu ended with no vaccine!

We’ll see the same and we’ll see it soon…

50 million dead until we’re immune.

Bored of Education

America has become anti-intellectual

Experts are perceived as ineffectual.

Education is hard, and can be quite dull!

And takes up too much room in the skull.

But look at the numbers of unemployed…

Without education you get destroyed.

Supply unchained

A little good news in this sea of bad

Something to make you feel a bit glad.

Now with so many people on our planet

Will the earth make enough food, can it?

The answer is yes! We’re doing quite well.

Though there is still hunger we must quell.

Llama have some ‘o THAT

“Whatever it takes” has become the rule

So we’re tapping a new antibody pool.

Llamas have some really strong stuff

And plenty to give, more than enough.

Not to mention those fab eyelashes!

If only they could cause virus crashes.

Mission Accomplished?

Generally speaking, a Task Force is done

When the battle it’s fighting has been won.

But the rate of infection across the nation

Is seeing little these days but acceleration.

So disbanding the Force at this point in time

Seems more like committing a bit of a crime.
