But at least some Republicans are acting better.

I grew up in Donnie’s New York City

He was a media hound and always gritty.

It was no surprise when he hit reality TV

He loved staging drama for people to see.

You’d think as POTUS (at least thru tomorrow)

He’d be able to stop commercializing sorrow.

Can’t say I’ve been a John Bolton fan

But praise be to him for being a man

Willing to put his country’s integrity first

Rather than satiating some power thirst.

Hopefully he will see it through to the end

And testify to help our great nation mend.

Just when you thought he really couldn’t,

Or that there is a line and he wouldn’t,

Take things to a place that’s even darker

And make this embarrassment even starker,

Then whad’ya know he stoops to new lows,

With a church massacre video of his foes.

Historically I don’t see why we would care

But his boasts about biz are as big as his hair,

Like all his unfounded claims and obfuscation.

So why not release them to a curious nation?

There is always an exception to the rule

But a general principal I learned in school

Is that people behave in patterned format

And the circumstances needed for that

Not to be true are exceptionally rare

So Rudy’s “associates” should give us a scare.

So let’s toss this idea up in the air –

When Donnie breaks the law his base doesn’t care.

So what would happen if he is impeached

Then wins re-election despite laws he breached?

With no checks on his power we might need to pray

Since then we would feel like the Kurds do today.

Another perfect phone call and then this

Donnie throws our allies into the abyss.

While the Turks are invited to a party in DC

And Istanbul’s Trump Hotel operates carefree.

So I guess Erdogan will no longer be hidin’
