Double negatives can be confusing

But what the author thinks is amusing

Is that Trump’s supporters will roll their eyes

And accuse others of hyperbolic lies

When you suggest he may go off the rails

And then does just that with sordid details.

It’s worth reading this piece through to the end

There’s a lot in there that I would commend.

All of his points about how far we went

To the Far Left – making many feel spent –

May be as spot on and prophetic

As his view that Trump’s crew is pathetic.

Turns out the best laid plans of mice and men,

Perhaps won’t solve the problems as promised.

But no one should expect that the calmest

And most reasoned approach to our borders

Will come from The Don’s pandering orders.
