It’s been three years and everything has changed…

The nation’s united, no one’s estranged!

Oh how nice if that were only the case

But instead we’re doing an about face.

Doubling down on the nation’s Big Lie

And eager to give Trump another try.

Another crime to add to the pile!

Though no one seems to have cared for a while.

It’s serious, the emoluments clause

Protecting the nation, one of our laws.

But just like everything that he pursues

Trump couldn’t care less about who he screws.

The Dems have now shot themselves in the foot.

Any chance for a new guy is caput.

But one thing I think they surely could do

Is replace the VP with someone new.

At least then the public would feel more at ease

Should Biden keel over and fall to his knees.

It’s not clear to me how this has become

A political issue, seems kinda dumb.

I don’t think she was brought down by a mob

Rather how did she ever get this job?!

Forget her fueling of major schism…

You’re thrown out of school for plagiarism.

New names are out and oh what a surprise!

Two of the best at delivering lies…

Of course it’s not new that powerful men

Take advantage of everything that they can.

But it sure isn’t wrong that we would want more

Than leaders who are so dark at the core.

Resolutions are cool, though they don’t last.

But maybe because the goals are too vast.

They typically trend towards health and splendor…

But what about going on a bender?

Or resolving to do nothing at all?!

If you want ‘em to last, then that’s the call.

With excitement and a little sadness

We say bye to a year filled with madness.

What more could we each have done to help out?

What did we miss? There was plenty no doubt.

But perhaps what’s best as we look ahead

Is in fact to slow down a bit instead…

Tipping culture has gone out of control

Pay wages to workers that are good and fair

And get tipping out of the consumer’s hair.
