Why would this issue bring some unity

To the polarized political community?

Is it curiosity for the vast unknown?

Or ET nostalgia to perhaps “phone home…”

Whatever the drive this much is for sure –

In DC today it will not endure.

Many still love the line “Drill Baby Drill!”

Voiced by Palin it created a thrill

For all those who want their fossil fuels

To be cheap like water and fine as jewels.

For sure we still need this energy source

But let’s get it safely and in due course.

It can be confusing when you hear it.

The Gay Pride Parade started as protest

Against the police who gave them no rest.

You can understand the anger that made

But why ban gay cops from the parade?

With their uniforms on and standing tall

It shows the world they’re cracking the wall.

Thank God the world is coming back online!

With lovely people on the airline.

We all missed each other in the lockdown

And thought that we’d never again knockdown

Our fellow humans, you’d like to think,

Unless, of course, they don’t bring us a drink…

If you want to borrow, it’s a good time

Since low interest rates now will likely climb.

But has anyone thought how all this will end?

Both sides of the aisle just spend spend spend.

There will come a time to pay the piper

Standing in the crosshairs of debt’s sniper.

Remember when Trump first made this suggestion?

And all the Left cried it’s out of the question?

Seems there’s some truth to his perspective

Which I hope will make folks more reflective.

I sure understand not liking the guy

But that doesn’t make all things a lie.

Regarding what dogs are all about
