I fully believe in trusting your gut

It’s very important and needed, but

It can’t replace relying on fact

There are real truths and they’re being attacked.

People must quit their “feeling” things out

And start “thinking” more what it’s all about.

The world changes slow, and then very fast…

And I bet that threshold has just been passed.

While I have a view on who’s more to blame

Both parties share in this atrocious shame.

Look at these bullet points and tell me how

The soul of America will be honorable now.

We honor a hero in MLK

While it’s also Inauguration Day.

Davos begins with its global elites

And we watch college football’s best athletes.

As if that’s not enough for us to track

On top of it all, Tik Tok is back…!

With money and time and memories of

Life back in the day with extremities of

Sex and drugs and rock n’ roll

And parties that just stirred the soul…

Yes, the older crowd is setting free

Only worried about an STD…

There are quite a few gems packed in this list

Which starts pointing out all the things they’ve missed

Staring at phones twenty hours a day

As attention spans quickly decay.

There’s a real world to see outside your phone!

You just have to leave your comfort zone.

Who knew that this was an actual thing?

Does our survival rest on a shoestring?

I had no idea that we get hit

By meteorites and other space shit.

This one was small but seems unexpected.

Can’t say that I feel very protected.

Well it’s a sad day when the young dancers

Don’t seem to have any good answers

For why they would rather head home so soon

Rather than partying straight through till noon…

Are they more mature and a bit less coifed…
