Two things strike me as pretty crazy.

First, regulators aren’t just being lazy,

How in the world could they ever stop

A child from eating this magnetic slop?

And what the heck is with these tots –

Downing magnets like they were shots?

Growing up in New York I soon understood

The value of diversity in our big neighborhood.

One thing I noticed about some of the mothers

Was how they praised their sons over others.

Oh yes they formed a very loud cheer squad…

But only one Jewish mother had a son who was God.

Reflecting on that first Christmas Eve

It was tough on Joseph, I have to believe.

They traveled all day and into the night

And found nowhere to sleep or get a bite.

With a pregnant wife, well, it is as it is…

And the fact remains, the kid wasn’t his.

So this article highlights attending mass

Which, let’s face it, can be a pain in the… neck.

But what strikes me as a point that is lost

Is that actually it’s a good relative cost.

I’ve a lot of issues with online culture,

Which often seems to be like a vulture

Watching society wither and decay

Before swooping in to collect its pay.

But it didn’t make us tired of the rich

It’s their own behavior that’s the bitch.

We now reverse course and have more light

On a solar path both predictable and bright.

It also helps, since the news lacks cheer,

That at least it’s the shortest day of the year…

Everyone in life will break some bond

And character is revealed in how you respond.

John Dingell served longer than anyone

When Donnie was impeached what did he yell?

The Dingells’ name is funny and he may be in hell.

And so the day arrives at last

For the third time in all the past.

But the gravity of the situation

Appears to be lost on the nation.

His true crime and unpatriotic flaw?

Getting so many to mock the rule of law.

The Carnegie Hero Fund is quite unique

And finds everyday people at their peak.

You can’t be a soldier or rescue professional

(Not to dismiss such work that’s exceptional)

But you must save lives while risking your own

In a selfless act that is good to the bone.

It’s an Army Base town in a tough location,

But can it serve as a model for the nation?

It seems what makes the town really work

Is that people are unwilling to be a jerk.

They’re not linked by social media’s tether

They know each other and live together.
