Tortured process to try to tame

The wild array of things to watch

Without feeling like it’s a rorschach,

Testing if you’ve got enough

Cultural IQ, and the right stuff…

Make no mistake, the world is changing,

In ways both little, and far ranging.

Some consider global warming small…

(Not if you’re one of the species to fall!)

But who in the world saw this one coming?!

It’s like Marching Bands without drumming…

It’s hard not to be skeptical,

Since he always wants a spectacle.

But we need anything that can help us move

Towards being a nation that can prove

Political ideas from both sides

Are fundamental governing guides.

I never liked Lego much.

Perhaps because I had no touch –

I couldn’t fathom what to build,

My imagination was all but killed.

But this, THIS would have changed that situation!

Or at least made me cool with my stagnation…

The people of Denver have done it again!

First it was weed, now psilocybin.

It’s not a lot but they did approve

To decriminalize mushrooms, a bold first move.

Bless these folk and their open ways,

Finding a path through the drug maze.

An accident is stubbing your toe,

Or slipping on the ice and snow,

Or saying something by mistake,

Or buying a Rolex that’s a fake.

But accidentally waging war…?

That’s all wrong at the core.

The experts tend to disagree

And no one yet has found the key.

But if drinking lightly ain’t so great

I’d say you best not hesitate…

Order a double and down it fast

Then order another and have a blast!

We’ve heard a bit from this guy before

He’s not all about making love and not war…

His followers often lack a common moral code

Which can take them down a pretty dark road.

But on this matter he hits the spot!

Seems true to me more often than not.

Whoever is in charge over at Burger King

Is truly doing a really great thing,

Offering vegetable replacements to red meat,

Good for the environment and better to eat,

And supporting awareness of mental health

With a competitive jab that’s a little stealth!

What could these folks possibly be thinking?!

Or what special Kool Aid are they drinking?

How could this be good for their girl?

Now the world just wants to hurl…

But kind of a surprise that it was botched.

Since sailing? Well, it’s never watched!
