Trump certainly makes some weird things take place!

Like who could have imagined this odd case –

Dick Cheney’s daughter, the tough fighting Liz

As hard right as any pol in the biz

Not only rejected the GOP

But then endorsed Harris? Lord have mercy!

It was the late summer of ‘84

When I packed my bag and went out the door

Headed to college, very exciting!

Eager to take up reading and writing.

Back then it was different, I suppose –

I jumped on a bus. My parents? Who knows…

It seems that among the things which were lost

During the Lockdown which had such a cost

Were basic codes about how to behave

When you are at work… and not in your cave.

However unpleasant you find your job

Please don’t surrender to this uncouth mob.

We live in a country, best on the Earth.

Yet somehow some people want us to think

That things are just terrible, we’re on the brink

Of total disaster! But they’re faking…

I’m glad to see that fever is breaking.

They have long been thought of as our best friends

And too often they come to very sad ends.

So it’s nice to see these people come out

Taking a stand for our pals with a snout.

Dogs have your back and they make you driven

To be more kind and see care is given.

So long as we’re using silly metrics

More than debating about obstretrics

Then we can chalk this one up as a win

Since Trump will surely take it on the chin

Given his penchant for tracking the size

Of crowds (and hands) and audience eyes.

If Trump wants to win he must up his game,

He simply can’t give us more of the same.

There’s plenty to argue with what she said,

Real policy issues, but then instead

He makes perhaps the most ironic note…

‘Cuz ramble she didn’t, but he does by rote.

Now that both parties are equally dumb

Acting like sailors after too much rum

Spending on everything with abandon

(Trump was worse than the party of Brandon)

It’s pretty funny but no big surprise

That finally people are opening their eyes.

Of all the legacies of Escobar

This one may be the strangest by far…

His penchant for owning crazy creatures

Was perhaps one of his nicer features

But after his death some of them went wild

The hippos got angry and are reviled.

This guy had just been fully acquitted

Of a major fraud he had committed.

His business partner died three days before,

The whole thing is suspicious to the core.

No need to sound the conspiracy horn,

But, it happened where omerta was born…
