To practice their trade and line their pockets

With foreign investment and some lockets.

A clever scam, not just cooking the books

But in the end they were simply crooks.

We’ve heard a lot about this amendment

But wow is it cool to learn of its roots

As things got hot in the North-South disputes.

This guy was the lame duck Sec of Defense

And sent arms to the South before war could commence.

Packages packages… They’re everywhere!

People order online without a care.

One item, two items… just ship it please

Things are delivered with the greatest of ease.

So how could it be, business declining?

Seems like excuses and lots of whining.

An endorsement from Taylor just seems right

Since it would capture our national plight.

Taylor is terrific, a real treasure

But she’s tormented by any measure…

Things are pretty good, the country is strong

But everyone thinks that everything’s wrong.

To put it in context of present day

You should think of the story in this way:

Imagine if suddenly Taylor Swift.

En route to a concert by an airlift,

Disappeared from the planet, into thin air!

You can bet tons of people would still care…

Might there be some incentives that would cause
A person to push those who earn a wage
Towards working real hard deep into old age?
Who stands to gain from you working the grids?

This winter we moved to a new location
Pretty much in the heart of Trump Nation.
We have great friends, though they don’t share our view

But his campaign never got any traction

As he went all in with the anti-woke faction.

So did the voters want a bit more meat?

Or is anyone other than Trump obsolete?

Elon has a way of bending the norms

But in Sweden they’re calling for reforms.

Whatever it is that they do not like

They’ve mobilized workers to go on strike.

The unions have so much dough it appears

They can be on strike for five hundred years!
