It’s truly worth asking “What’s going on?”

When so many leaders seem so far gone.

Some say it’s the sign of a big decline

When mostly the elderly hold the line.

Society shows that it’s in decay

If geriatrics alone rule the day.

Soundbites and laziness may be at fault

In our instant gratification vault.

Few people take the time to understand

The complex nuance most issues demand.

But we will not make the world just and right

Pretending everything is black and white.

Humans are corrupt, they’re in both parties.

So enough is enough from biased smarties.

What I like to see, as in the case here,

Is Democrats being extremely clear –

If you do something wrong, you should be canned.

Not mindlessly taking a political stand.

Now it’s all about the Roman Empire!

For men the Romans were just on fire.

At least that’s what they say when they are asked
