These kids believed that our lives would be bleak

But instead we’ve been on a winning streak.

I remember when she first caught my eye

In Life Magazine, I thought I would die…

She was already in her late thirties

I was so young, but thought about flirties.

Athletic and sexy and with such grace

I hope she’s happy in her resting place…

But is rarely done if it seems absurd…

And who knows, perhaps there are other perks.

Yup, this is starting to get pretty weird

Tons of predictions are forecasting gloom

Could it be that life will just get no worse?

And does saying that guarantee a curse?!
