Fabricated Divide?

Three quarters of us never use Twitter

And just one percent watch Fox News’s litter.

Thirty percent are on the left and the right

Forty percent seek independent light.

Our differences aren’t really all that large

And we need the centrists to come take charge.

That was great

Given yesterday’s quite hot breaking news

I read this headline with some nuanced views!

We learned that remote work had jacked the rate

Of pregnancies in lockdown, pretty great!

But whoa, what’s this “faking it” all about…?

That wasn’t a genuine joyful shout?!

Um, about the office…

The pandemic hits and we’re all locked down

Stressed out and worried, it’s just Crazy Town.

Bosses are freaking, we’re working remote

The last thing we’re thinking is sowing oat…

At least that’s what we felt compelled to say

While shagging like mad throughout the day!

Mooched, UK!

It’s not like she was an easy hoochie

But she hardly outlasted Scaramucci.

Her tenure in office was just so slight

And marked by moves that were not very bright.

So the UK plods on in a gray mist

Wondering who’s next up on the Tories’ list…

Awww

Okay, so yes at the time we were glad

That these guy’s inventions weren’t so bad.

Zoom and Carvana and all of the rest

Allowed us to “distance” (and not get dressed).

So good on them for getting out ahead!

But losing some zeros…? Yeah, no tears shed.

Con Heir

It’s clear in Article Two, Section One

That taking emoluments is not done.

“Emoluments” means that you earn some dough

From government payments that, well, you know

Are outside the normal contribution.

This guy just laughs at the Constitution…

From one of their own

Fanone spent his life in the GOP

Defending justice and democracy.

He voted for Trump and was a big fan

So it’s important to hear about his new plan –

Every leader who has turned a blind eye

Must be made to account for Trump’s Big Lie.

No Trusting Truss

Hard to imagine a worse way to launch

A new administration that’s so staunch.

Seems that the policies were quite JV

And had not been developed thoughtfully.

Coupled with thinking that was not so clear

The PM hit some bumps, it would appear.

Not enough pain

There is not enough money in the world

To make up for the horror that he hurled

At people whose loss went far beyond grief.

His behavior was just beyond belief.

He did it for both his own power and greed,

And so many people approved of his deed…

Striking Back

No doubt they will pay for this little prize

But the price may be worth it in their eyes.

Putin’s crimes all began with Crimea,

So bombing this bridge was a great idea.

It cut deep and has caused pain to the core

Forcing the Russians to ask how much more?
