The threat we fear is that by some mistake

An alien virus gets its big break

And soars off the planet, since Mars is small,

Expanding its reach to a galactic mall.

That would be a bad day for us on Earth…

I’d think twice about giving bugs a berth.

Great, so now we learn our very best friends

May also suffer from memory bends.

Getting confused and walking into walls

And thinking the rugs are urinal stalls.

Ugh, what torture we’ll endure when our hound

No longer cares when we come around.

Too much of anything is never good

But it doesn’t always mean that you should

Throw it all away and change your style

Especially when it makes you smile.

Changing their brand is a useless schlep.

For all the talk to follow the science

It sometimes seems there’s little compliance

And it just adds to reasonable queries.

To me it falls into the bucket of life

So much is unknown why bother with strife?

Dealing with covid and working toward

A normal life free of all the stresses

Possible due to vaccine successes.

But yes it’s still with us and it still blows.

That will be our life, it’s just how it goes.

The premise here is that we’re nowhere near

The type of situation that you’d fear

Would be important enough that you’d kill

Another human or you had the will

To give your own life in a sacred cause.
