We often poke fun at our neighbors up north,

What with their gentle manners and so forth.

But when things get too crazy here down south

What you might hear from an American’s mouth

Is that they’re moving out, Canada bound!

At least that’s what Google metrics have found…

The ethics the other side is protecting.

Neither upholding the law nor striking it down

Should result in these merry parties downtown.

Until the media regains our trust
All efforts at healing are sure to go bust.

Pick up on the same societal cues.

How hard can it be to do the right thing?
To have moral code instead of a fling?

To abandon all principal just like that

Yes I’m a big fan of our Navy Seals.
So it hurts quite a bit when someone steals
The honor and service that goes with the Teams
And then twists them into something which seems
To use that badge of patriotism
For its opposite intent – national schism.

First a pandemic creates some madness –

School is online with no friends, and sadness.

No one behaves with a whole ton of grace.

Finally when back there’s a mask on their face.

After all that… they’ve earned school in summer!
