Memorial Day is a time to thank

Those who think of others, not their own bank.

To provide us our freedom, and some pride.

Over one million have sacrificed all…

Do something for others to honor their fall.

It all went down on a flight on Southwest

The discount airline that’s known for the best

Airfare you can find to get where you want.

No frills or fanfare on this little jaunt.

Maybe you shouldn’t get punched in the eyes,

But it never promoted “friendly skies…”

Forest management must be very tough

And I have no clue what it takes to snuff

Out a fire burning hard in the woods

But it seems this crew didn’t bring the goods.

Their miss on this one is tragic and sad

Mismanagement, or just luck that was bad?

I’ve thought for some time this would be the case

For the next decade we should simply brace

And prepare for the fact that it’s with us.

So we should get on board this high speed bus

And learn to deal with a new fact of life.

Evolve or die, that’s the edge of the knife.

So billions of dollars have been spent

And buyers now wonder where it all went.

Who would have thought buying digital art

Just may not have been really all that smart?

Maybe the same folks who also believe

Buying digital land is quite naïve.

The problem it seems has something to do

With the small fact that yoga is Hindu…

So Satan has bound himself to that faith

And is now using Barbie as a wraith!

The whole thing sure does not seem very Zen,

A new virus scare to keep us awake
And give the news cycle something to make
Us all feel once again like we must panic
Or think of those who do as crazy manic.
For sure it will soon be politicized
And no matter your take you’ll be criticized…!

So what great moralists are blind to see
That some abortions are necessary?
And by what moral code is it absolute
That all abortions are beyond dispute?
It’s a complex issue with consequence,
Both sides need compassion in their defense.
