I had thought there was nothing worse than Trump

But now in my throat I’m feeling a lump

As I consider the GOP field

And the candidates that it will yield

All in the context we can’t be hidin’

For many, it’s anyone but Biden…

One of the biggest problems of the day

Is that politicians are unwilling to say

That someone has done a pretty good thing

If they sit on a different political wing.

His praise was not shouted out very loud…

But Biden said it, and we should be proud.

Today is the shortest day of the year

And is certainly one that I hold dear.

From this point on things start to get brighter

As the days become lighter and lighter.

Meanwhile now we must be on our game!

The day is short, but the workload the same.

When you think about those funny places

Where people always have smiley faces

And laugh and laugh to their heart’s content

Knowing that all their time is well spent

Would be an amusing act in the show.

I’m hard-pressed to think of something more lame.

Is this not just a simple con game?

Things that are said – not worth toilet tissue –

On these cable programs, both left and right,

Are then repeated and cause a big fight.

So few people watch these terrible shows

Let their comments slip into silent death throes.
