A scheduling nuisance!

So the First Lady is promoting Be Best

And is out raising money for its treasury chest.

But alas she has canceled her LA event

Due to a ‘scheduling conflict’ she can’t prevent.

That’s one way to describe the unfolding scene…

But outside the White House we say ‘Covid-19.’

Numbers are hard

Just because she’s in charge of education

For pretty much every kid in the entire nation

Doesn’t mean we should expect her to know

Much more than is needed for a reality show.

But of course such issues won’t get her the axe…

When our leaders embrace alternative facts!

The chutzpah…!

Say what you will about the Chief,

A brilliant leader or petty thief,

He won’t let anything in his way.

No matter what he may do or say

He’s always right in his own mind

And to those who are of his kind.

Miss ya, Pete!

I was thrilled when he joined the race

And man did he run at a fast pace!

Yes he can seem like a smarty-pants

But his calm intellect would only enhance

A thoughtful angle to the political show.

Indeed it’s a shame to see him go.

Plus they look stupid

I am by no means an expert on Covid-19

But there are a few things that I’ve seen.

Consistency is important as a general rule

So when Donnie says that all is cool

It’s harder for his team to be taken for real

When they then try to tell us the actual deal…

When good men do nothing

He is the most decorated Navy SEAL… ever

Combining strength, courage and being clever.

He served leaders on both sides of the aisle

And has put his life on the line, with a smile.

This patriot now says enough is enough!

We would be wise to listen to his stuff.

Deja Vu

Does anyone else get the feeling

That all of this chaotic freewheeling

Is not close to coming to an end

But will continue to make our minds bend?

Long gone is the notion of governing that’s formal.

It’s amazing what we now take for normal…

Heck, why not?

He already said “There was NO collusion!”

So Donnie’s innocence is no illusion.

Strange then that he would take this approach

When he so wants to be above reproach.

But when pardons are handed out with glee

Why not continue this swamp-filling spree?

In sports as in politics

I think there’s an important lesson here
Justice left unserved could very well veer
Towards vigilantes and goons to make things right
Which should give us all a bit of a fright.
It’s one thing it it happens in major league ball
And another altogether on the Washington Mall.

How about that?

For sure Donnie could not care less,

The liberal Northeast does not give him stress.

But all the same it’s sure fun to see

A GOP governor set himself free

From that strange spell that has been cast

On most all Republicans, first to last.
