Of all clarity and common sense

It will make most all folks very tense.

Trump’s carnival bark is never hazy

And Rashida’s plan is batshit crazy.

I’m not totally clear what I’m missing

But WAPO here seems to be dissing

Using law enforcement to enforce the law

Which doesn’t seem like a very big flaw.

Local police may be the best suited

To make sure illegals are prosecuted.

That much of the contents are just not true

Which is not a good day for ‘ole Team Blue.

And all media outlets that pumped the line

Will pay a massive credibility fine.

This country is part of the group called PIGS

They’re not really known for their business gigs.

Seeing a stunt like this helps show us why.

Sure, it sounds kinda nice, I cannot lie…

But the market should govern an issue like this

If your job’s too demanding, then take a miss.

I don’t know why we’d take this position

Since it seems contrary to the mission.

The threat of attack is a deterrent

Why limit the options on the table

Where is the leadership that was promised

From the candidate who was the calmest?

Joe’s years in the Senate and as VP

Were meant to offset his rep as “sleepy…”

But damn this boat is without a rudder!

And it makes this centrist poet shudder.

Perhaps there’s no way to get around cheating
And listening to both the rich and poor’s bleating.
But it does seem to me things are unfair
And taxing the rich does not make it square.
Why shouldn’t we all pay the same tax rate,
A flat tax with no holes for a rebate?

I believe in the value of fair trade

And doing what you want with money made.

Giving thanks is a part of the puzzle

And helps to avoid any kerfussle.

It also does more than signal “amen”…

It will attract great workers to you again.

The thing about standup comedians

Is that they don’t play for the medians.

Generally self-loathing and full of spite

Most of them are probably not alright.

But they’re also smart and complicated…

Who Dave is after could be debated.
